After a wonderful 7 night cruise, we disembarked in Amsterdam for a few days of sightseeing. We loved Amsterdam.
I must commend AmaWaterways for a wonderful cruise. Although the weather was dicey, AmaWaterways did so many things to make the cruise special.
Upon our return from our tours of the Christmas Markets, we boarded to find a staff member handing out warm washcloths to warm our cold hands, and then give us some hot cider, or gluhwein to warm our tummies…a wonderful gesture.
There was always coffee, tea, cappucino, espresso or water along with cookies or snacks available in the lounge. If you got up early (or stayed up late) because you were dealing with jet lag, there was something to eat or drink.
After a long day of touring, we spent one night in our room watching new-release movies and catching up on our email.
We loved that we could send complimentary postcards to our families and friends with free postage.
We had choices as to the tours we chose, and the level of exertion. There was a gentle walkers program for those who prefer to take a little more time.
I am allergic to down comforters, so I asked that I have just a blanket and sheet… No problem.
Although I didn’t need it, I was happy to see an elevator on board for those with difficulties with stairs.
Finally, although our standard room was large (170 sq ft.), I loved the French Balcony that made our room seem immense. It was lovely to see the swans swimming right by our cabin.
I would heartily recommend AmaWaterways to all my clients!
