Enchanté is a spacious, double-decker hotel barge that has been built to the highest standard to offer a stylish on board ambience that is perfect for enjoying a cruise through this sun-drenched region.
The hotel barge is tastefully furnished in a contemporary style, creating a bright, art deco atmosphere. She has a large saloon with outstanding attention to detail, including an open-plan demonstration galley where guests can see their skilled chef at work. On the lower deck, there is also a computer with internet connection for guests’ use, as well as the requisite Wi-Fi onboard.
The luxurious air-conditioned accommodation is in four equally spacious twin or double-bedded suites, the largest of any hotel barge on the Canal du Midi and all with superbly appointed en suite shower rooms.
Outside, the spacious sun deck boasts an alfresco dining area, a gorgeous spa pool and comfortable loungers to relax in while the countryside drifts slowly by.

Sallèles d' Aude
In the afternoon, you will be met by a crew member of the Enchante at the designated meeting point. From here, relax as you are chauffeured to the barge, moored nearby in Sallèles d’Aude. A traditional champagne welcome and introduction to the crew awaits you, before your first of many gourmet dinners onboard. After dinner, the hot tub beckons!

Sallèles d’Aude to Somail
A leisurely morning cruise presents the perfect time to relax on deck. Upon mooring, bookworms are invited to browse a unique book shop with approximately 50,000 second-hand books! In the afternoon, your Tour Guide chauffeurs you to a olive pressoir for a tasting of small batch olive oils; a visit to Minerve then follows. A preserved Medieval city, Minerve boasts fascinating social, historical, and military import. Back onboard, visit Chef in the open galley for a cooking demonstration, followed by cocktails and dinner.
Tuesday
Le Somail to Bassanel
The morning begins with an escorted visit to Narbonne, a regional capital established in 118 B.C.E. as a Roman colony. A study of European history and local modernity thriving side by side, Roman ruins are presented in public spaces, while the lively Narbonne market reflects the region’s gastronomic bounty. Return to the barge for an afternoon cruise. Laze on deck, or explore the towpath's flora and fauna with a bicycle ride or leisurely stroll. Join Chef in the galley to observe French cooking techniques before dinner is served.

Bassanel to Puichéric
This morning we visit a Benedictine Abbey founded in the 8th century. Nestled in Lagrasse, a village awarded the title of “Plus beaux villages de France” and home to many artisans who have set up workshops in the medieval centre, the restored Abbey was once one of the most prosperous thanks to Charlemagne’s charter. Cocktails and dinner concludes your day.
Thursday
Puichéric to Marseillette
This morning's cruise is the perfect time to relax on deck with a cup of coffee and watch the scenery slip by, or traverse the towpath via bicycle or foot. This afternoon's excursion is a to a vineyard visit coupled with a wine tasting at Chateau Ollieux Romanis in the Corbieres, which is one of the few regions to receive the esteemed AOC appellation. Your Tour Guide chauffeurs you back to the barge, where you can take laze the hot tub or visit Chef in the galley before drinks and dinner are served.
Friday
Marseillette to Trèbes
Today you will be chauffeured on a morning tour of Carcassonne. Dating back to the Gallo-Roman era, this is the most complete medieval fortified city in existence today with its 52 watchtowers, portcullis and extraordinary repertoire of defenses, which resisted the many armies that tried to storm this glorious Camelot setting. This afternoon we squeeze through tight bridges and glide past picturesque vineyards and hamlets to Trèbes. Once a major ally to Carcassonne, this medieval town still retains unique paintings within its 13th century church. Farewell Dinner on board.

After breakfast, guests are transferred by private chauffeured minibus to their designated drop-off point.
